Wrexham secured their first Championship win of the season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Millwall, bolstering their ambitions for a Premier League promotion push. The breakthrough came in the first half when Zak Sturge inadvertently turned Issa Kaboré’s cross into his own net, gifting Wrexham the lead. The advantage was extended shortly after the interval as Kieffer Moore unleashed a powerful shot from around 20 yards, doubling Wrexham’s lead. Jacques Ekomié then sealed the win with a close-range finish, capping an impressive performance for the visitors.
This defeat marked another setback for Millwall, who have now conceded eight goals over their last two matches following a promising start to the season with back-to-back clean-sheet victories. Adding to their woes were injuries sustained by striker Josh Coburn and midfielder Casper De Norre, deepening the club’s concerns.
